Leather and Suede

Silicon-based "GreenEarth" is very suitable for cleaning suede and leather skins. Traditionally those have been cleaned with flammable petroleum, a process no longer allowed by regulatory agencies, except for some pre-existing operations that continue to be "grandfathered" in certain towns and states. As an alternative method still in use, dry cleaning skins with "perc" containing special fat and oil additives is quite aggressive on the texture, colors, and glue, often resulting in a "dried-up" feel, loss of dye, and structural damage to plastics and adhesives. "GreenEarth" does not exhibit these characteristics and it is truly a wonderful medium in which to clean animal skins.
